Last week (Aug. 8) VMware Inc. updated its enterprise application mobility platform VMware HCX, which the company says is designed to “simplify workload migration, workload rebalancing, and optimize disaster recovery [DR] across datacenters and clouds.”
The update introduces three key features to help enterprise customers streamline “the process of connecting, populating, and continually optimizing application placement in modern cloud infrastructures”: Non-vSphere to vSphere migration, large-scale bulk migration and advanced DR with Site Recovery Manager integration.
