Oracle Cloud Infrastructure has launched its Tokyo Region to support some of the country’s biggest companies. Oracle said the new cloud region addresses the needs for high performance, security, resiliency and local data residency that Japanese organisations require to “increase cloud adoption with confidence”.
Andrew Reichman, Oracle director of product management, said of the opening: “Japan is one of the counties in which we’ve built trust over years of adoption by the biggest domestic organisations. To further support customers there, we’ve opened an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure data centre region in Tokyo, which is now ready for customer use.”
