DataStax recently announced that it had been chosen by Google Cloud as one of its Database-as-a-Service offerings, which is part of Google Cloud’s “OSS Managed Partner Services Initiative.”
Built on Apache Cassandra, the DataStax hybrid cloud database is used by enterprises for on-premises support of “always-on, Web-scale applications.” Being part of the Google Cloud OSS Managed Partner Services Initiative will mark the first time DataStax will deliver an “as a service offering,” according to the announcement.
