Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, held its 2019 Cloud Summit today in Beijing as it celebrates its 10-year anniversary. Alibaba Cloud is undergoing a strategic upgrade, said Zhang Jianfeng, president of Alibaba Cloud and CTO of Alibaba Group, as he addressed a crowded room filled with thousands of participants and industry partners at the China National Convention Center.
āCurrently, 60-70% of Alibabaās businesses run on Alibabaās public cloud platform,ā said Zhang. āWithin a year or two from now, we expect 100% of Alibabaās businesses to run on the public cloud.ā The āAll-in-Cloudā era is coming, industries are increasingly running on cloud, Zhang said citing data that indicate over 84% of businesses in China show willingness to embrace cloud technology.
